So I went back to WoW.

I stopped a month ago. No reason really… just wanted to take a break.

In that time, I started a Pirates of the Burning Seas trial, paid for one month – played for one and a half weeks, paid for a month of Eve, played for a week, suspended all accounts, thought about resuming Lord of the Rings Online, bought Sims 3 instead, played that for a while, played Spore for a night or two…. then I bought World in Conflict, tried the Tropico 3 demo, tried Arma II demo, bought Arma II and then I realized I need to get back to WoW and stick to the 14.99/month payment lol. Honestly, its justified – I spent over $100 in a months time trying to find a game that entertained me – and they did… but I grew bored.

I came close to installing SimCity4 as I know that is a game that I can play forever – but I couldn’t bring myself to do it. I thought about Cities XL, but I think they need to polish it off first before I try it. Make I’ll wait for a sequel to see if they have any improvements.

I also have a Tales of Vesparia game for Xbox360 still in plastic wrap I want to play. I just wish my fiancee would allow me to play video games on our 48″ Sony Bravia. I really don’t want to move the Xbox360 into another room on a crappy TV.

Oh well, time to level a Shammy and Warlock. Gotta powerlevel Azeroth before it becomes foreign to me.

So I’m an avid gamer, young professional, and aspiring science fiction author. I decided to start a blog about my gaming adventures. You see, I’m not a hardcore gamer per se – rather, I’m a connoisseur. And I decided to share my knowledge, my thoughts and opinions on a series of blogs. I don’t claim to have in depth knowledge of anything – but rather, I tend to have generalized knowledge on many fronts.

One thing I’m interested in recognizing by creating this blog is my gaming cycles. I tend to notice that I go through moods with games – for example, I’ll play an RPG (Chrono Trigger) followed by an MMO (WoW) followed by an economic sim (SimCity4) followed by an economic MMO (Eve) followed by a racing game (NFS) followed by a strategy game (Civ4). Its just an example, but I’m wondering if I can pull some correlation from it.
